Built an amazing world in Minecraft Bedrock Edition and want to run it on your Java server? No problem! Chunker is a free tool that converts Bedrock worlds into Java Edition (and the other way around). In this guide, we'll convert your world and get it onto your MCServerhost server.

Step 1: Get Your Bedrock World File

On Bedrock Edition, go to the world you want to convert and find the "Settings" (pencil icon) menu for that world. Scroll down and select "Copy World". This creates a backup you can export.

Then, depending on your platform:

• Mobile/Windows: The world folder is stored in your device's games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds folder. You can zip it up to upload.
• Console: Use the transfer feature to move the world to a device you can access, then grab it from there.

You'll end up with a folder (or .zip) containing your Bedrock world.

Step 2: Convert with Chunker

1. Go to chunker.app and click "Start converting".
2. Upload your Bedrock world folder or .zip file.
3. Select the output: Java Edition.
4. Choose a name for the converted world and click "Convert".

Important Notes

• Converted worlds can look slightly different. Bedrock and Java don't have perfectly matching world generation, so some builds or terrain may change slightly.
• Redstone contraptions and some blocks behave differently between editions, so complex machines might not work exactly as before.

Troubleshooting

Q) Chunker says my world file is invalid

A) Make sure you're uploading the actual world folder, not a random zip of other files. The folder should contain files like level.dat. Try zipping the world folder itself and uploading that.

Q) The converted world is empty or broken on my server

A) Check that the world folder is named "world" and placed directly in the server root. If chunks are missing, try re-converting. Chunker occasionally needs a retry on very large worlds.
