How to Set a Custom Minecraft Server Icon

Setting a custom icon for your Minecraft server makes it much easier for your friends and players to spot your server in their multiplayer list. By default, servers show a plain gray icon, but you can change this to any image you like.

You can set your server icon directly using the built-in dashboard settings. Follow the steps below to get your icon set up.


Requirements Before You Start

Before uploading your image, make sure it meets Minecraft's image requirements:

Need help resizing? If your image is too big or in the wrong format, you can easily convert and resize it for free using an online converter like mcutils.com/server-icon-converter. Just upload your picture, download the formatted server-icon.png file, and you are good to go!


Setting Your Icon

Step 1: Navigate to Settings

Log in to your dashboard, select your server, and click on the Settings option in the sidebar.

Scroll down until you find the section titled Server list icon (PNG ≤64KB). Click on the Choose File button and select the 64x64 image from your computer.

After selecting your image file, click the Save Branding button to save your settings.

To apply the changes in Minecraft, click Restart.
